Now...who joins a forum, befriends the members and staff...whom all welcomed warmly, then leave to start their own forum, (which I had NO problem with and even try to support all Cstyles members blogs and forums)...but they start their new forum off and it looks like a mini version of Cstyles!!! First it was the same colors as Cstyles and upon further inspection...it clearly had ripped off several areas of Cstyles and incorporated them into their new forum!!!! Has your jaw dropped yet...? Be patient...it will!
I visited said site because I had been invited to visit and join...so that is what I was going to do...join their forum. Of course I didn't join after seeing what was taking place over there.
I immediately pm'd this couple and told them that I was very shocked to see the extreme likeness to Cstyles and questioned what they were doing. He, (I'll give names and site info later) adamantly claimed there was NO likeness to Cstyles on his forum...which was of course false. He then tried to convince me that it was extremely hard to make a forum that looked different from another forum because we were so limited! Since when did the WWW, the world wide web become limited...? I mentioned this to him and he stated that it was no different from custom content looking like someone else's...which is a false. Show me 2 forums that look like one stole ideas from the other...?
I pointed out several sections they had stolen from Cstyles and just 'in your face' openly displayed on their forum.

edit: I'm writing this not to be malicious, but to show people that this type of action is not good, fair nor respected and yes...I'm taking action against them.

false things about us she would find lots of forums just like Cstyles. so will she complain about them to.
Cstyles is with holding info that we posted and Cstyles has not deleted our accounts just banned us. witch
is wrong. why can't you all just leave us alone and get on with your own stuff like we are trying to do. what
cece is doing is harassment can this please stop. it's gone on long enough.
You have stolen from Cstyles...period. It's out of our hands now and in the hands of the litigation board. You have accused me of harassment because I wrote a comment, void of any explicit's or malice, yet when you comment on my PERSONAL blog is that when I deem you to be harassing me. No...you spoke out on what you believe, just as I speak out on what I believe.
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to how you found this brand new blog so quickly...it's not blatantly nor eagerly boosted or in a huge display...as a matter of fact...it's tucked away neatly at the very bottom of Cstyles home page.
Are you perhaps looking around for new material and ideas to steal and incorporate into your forum?

I'm not the liar, Angie tell Brian about the pm situation you had while a member here. Also...you tell the board you are not married, while you tell us you are married and it's even listed on Angie's blog that you are both married.
Show me another forum that looks like Cstyles since you claim there are so many out that resemble Cstyles.
I'm withholding nothing, read your TOS, whatever you posted to Cstyles willingly while members here is now Cstyles and I'm not required to remove any of it. I choose to not remove it purely because I don't want to deal with a lot of blank spaces and broken comments.
How did you find this blog so quickly...did you join Cstyles under a false name like you did on another forum so you could see if you were being talked about?
I won't even mention some members that you have now made staff that you talked badly about, constantly while you ALL were members of Cstyles.
I won't release the names of these said people.
Get it together...I'm handling things fairly and above the board and I tried to handle things as quietly and quickly as possible...you hindered that...not me.
I've taken the necessary and legal actions to take care of this problem so it's now out of our hands.
This is a PERSONAL blog where I am speaking out on several things that I choose to speak out on but don't want to burden Cstyles or it's members with.

I am not harrassing you, all I want is our stuff removed from Cstyles. I was advised by someone at forumotion to contact you to remove it which I tried to do.

As for coming to your personal blog to post a comment isnt that what you done to Angie on her blog ?? And do I not have the right to defend myself from the lies and false allegations from yourself and Evie, if our site is a copy of yours why has no-one else said so ?? Cece why dont we ALL be mature about this and drop the whole subject. We are still improving our site which you were told from the very start that if anything resembled Cstyles it would be changed. Can you take into account the fact that you have been going for a year or more and we are still learning how things work with graphics etc which I explained to you when I left Cstyles but you still refuse to acknowledge that fact. I dont want to make your forum or ours look bad so for the benefit of our members yours and ours this needs to stop.
I'm not going to delete an entire topic just because you and your others name is listed on it! So stop asking because it's not going to happen. So please don't ask anymore and if you had read the TOS you will see that I am not at liberty to delete anything.
ReplyDeleteThere are NO lies nor false allegations coming from me, only from your end. Where did you get the idea for your sim gallery, which resembles in concept, vision and actions our sim index?!
That is only ONE of the things/areas. Just because you rename it doesn't make it original. Leave it alone...like I mentioned, it's in the hands of litigation.
I left 1 comment on Angie's blog, you have left, 2 messages here, 1 on Evie's and 1 on Cstyles.
I do ask that you refrain posting on Cstyles either via chat box or other. If you continue to post on Cstyles you will reported to the litigation board for further violation of the TOS!
It is not my goal nor my intention to shut down your forum, in all fairness we just want our ideas and sections removed that you stole from Cstyles. I've been more than patient and listened to all the lies I'm going to listen to, hence my reason for contacting the board.
You remove Cstyles things...this all is over and we never have to cross paths again.
I thought you both were better than this!
Use your own mind, your own ideas and your own creativity...trust me...you will be better respected in the Sims 3 community than you are now by using thievery.
